Robert R. George, DDS, MS / Orthodontics

Meet Dr. Robert R. George

Dr. George

I have been practicing as an orthodontic specialist creating beautiful smiles for over thirty years in the Garland/Richardson and surrounding area. It is a privilege for me to work every day in a profession I love, with my outstanding team and wonderful patients. My years of experience let me combine longstanding traditional values in orthodontics with the many modern technologies we have available today. I enjoy the art and science of orthodontics and the positive impact that my skills have on the lives of my patients. My engineering background and problem solving skills are a tremendous help in creating smiles for each new patient in my practice. Being sensitive to the concerns that each patient has about their treatment, I always listen carefully so that I can answer their questions in a patient friendly manner.

I grew up in the Dallas area and graduated from Lake Highlands High School. I received my undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, from The University of Texas at Austin and then studied at Baylor College of Dentistry for my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Finally, I earned my Master of Science in Dentistry by completing a Residency in Orthodontics at St. Louis University. After graduation and entering private practice, I completed the requirements to be a Board Certified Orthodontist by becoming a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.

My professional affiliations include the Dallas County Dental Society, the Texas Dental Association, the American Dental Association, The Southwestern Society of Orthodontics, and the American Association of Orthodontists. I am a Certified Premier Provider of Invisalign and Invisalign Teen, and have a special interest in treating both adults and teens with this invisible appliance.

Orthodontics is a rapidly changing profession, and I continue my education frequently by attending courses given by experts in our field to learn more about treatment mechanics, bracket design, Invisalign, digital X-rays, and computer technology.

My wife Linda and I have been married for over 30 years and are proud parents of four sons. Jonathan is a graduate of Texas A&M University, married to Emily, and lives in Austin. Michael is a graduate of Baylor University and also lives in Austin. Mitchell graduated from The The University of Texas at Austin and will live in Houston to attend UT Medical School. Chris graduates from Lake Highlands High School and will attend UT Austin. I am especially proud of the fact that all of my sons and myself earned the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 890, Dallas. My entire family enjoys outdoor activities such as camping, fishing, grilling, sailing, and water skiing. I am an active member of Highland Park United Methodist Church, and participate in many of their outreach and mission programs.
